Mandla: The Madhya Pradesh Police in a major operation have shot two lady Naxalites with a huge amount of reward upon information this morning. The encounter took place within Bichhiya Police Station limits of Mandla district falling under the Kanha National Park. The operation ensued as the police obtained intelligence about the Maoists' presence in a deep forest area-Mundidadar-Ganeridadar-Parsatola.
The Maoists opened fire in return to attacking the security forces; they intended to kill and loot weapons from the officers. Consequently, the security forces eliminated two-hardened lady Naxalites soon. A self-loading rifle (SLR), a regular rifle, a wireless set, and other personal articles were found on the spot. The police have embarked on an operation to find Naxalites in the region.
The identity of the two female Maoists who were killed in this operation stands as Mamta alias Ramabai and Pramila alias Mase Mandavi. Mamta was a key Area Committee Member (ACM) in the Bhoramdev Area Committee and hailed from Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Pramila was also an ACM from the Bhoramdev Area Committee from Sukma, Chhattisgarh.
In a response to this not so random incident, Hon Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav, lauded the valor of all the security personnel, noting that the moment would help our wider national intent in eradicating Naxalism by 2026 under the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
It was for the second time that numerous Naxalites have been killed in police actions in Madhya Pradesh in less than two months, with the state continuing its fight against Naxal violence in the region.
